The residential lobby and apartments at the Bloomberg Tower, on the old Alexander’s site, were designed in collaboration with Jacques Grange, bringing a refined material palette to this major Manhattan high-rise. Residents enter from the courtyard into a lobby with plaster ceilings, parchment-paneled walls, dark wood trim, and marble floors in intricate geometric patterns. Starting from the 30th floor and rising to the top, the 106 apartments feature layouts and finishes developed with Grange’s office: oak flooring throughout, kitchens with basaltino countertops and oak cabinetry, and bathrooms with white mosaic floors and slab-trimmed walls. The result is a quiet sophistication that matches the building’s sweeping city views.
